Nuno Coelho was the chef at Bel Canto restaurant, at Elevan and at Clube de Caça, among other restaurants in Lisbon, until he joined A Travessa in 2005. He sees  himself as a dynamic and enterprising chef.
He gained his training in cookery and pastry-making in 1991 from the Escola Profissional João da Matta. He completed internships at the Restaurante Michel and at the Hotel Alfa in Lisbon. He was the chef at Bel Canto restaurant, at Elevan and at Clube de Caça, among other restaurants in Lisbon, until he joined A Travessa in 2005.
